Well, it’s official! I can hardly believe it but we’re a family of four. It’s exhausting, consuming, my house is a mess, and by the time I go to sip my coffee it’s almost always cold, but it’s all so worth it! I’m not going to lie, it is an absolute mission to get out the house these days, but once we’re finally out that door it feels like the biggest accomplishment. I’ve been meaning to post these pictures for a week or so but Miss Lily has developed this thing where she cries almost all the time now (I forgot about these days!). I’ve barely had time to shower let alone turn my laptop on if I’m honest! – But here are some pictures from a couple of weeks back when I did manage to shower and get us all out the door. Grace (by the way) is now out of her sling, and recovering like a champ… I actually can’t believe how quickly she’s bounced back. But as you can see from the pics – even with her sling she wasn’t going to let it get in her way!
So, I have to say I feel very grateful for any baby product that makes life just that little bit easier, and as I’ve said before, a travel system (baby car seat that slots right into a stroller) is an absolute must. I had one with Grace and I knew I needed one this time too. I wrote about this Evenflo stroller a little while back but thought I’d give you a little update now it’s had some proper use. So here’s my feedback in a nutshell. It’s simplicity makes it easy to use. It’s lightweight. The stroller part assembles in one sift click and the car seat slots in and out effortlessly with the lift of a latch at the back. It’s easy to maneuver (as you can see Grace can do it with one hand!) and it looks great too. My favourite part is that it’s only $300 – for the car seat and the stroller (which also comes with an additional seat for when the baby gets older). We liked it so much we ordered an Evenflo car seat (pictured) for Grace too which actually fits kids 5-65lbs (it’s forwards and backwards facing) so it will be great for Lil once she outgrows her infant seat. We already tired Lily in the seat which you can see in the picture below (yep you’re right she looks like a little peanut in it!)… and yes we are also hoping for some hair on the top of her head!
So that’s my update and pictures of our first family outing – it only took me two weeks to put these up! Anyway I’m going to keep it coming with the baby product reviews because I know a lot of you have been asking about my favourites, so definitely more to come – make sure to check my Instagram too!
