Last night on Instagram I shared a few new favourite products I purchased from Sephora earlier this week. I thought seeing as they were not included in my What’s In The Bag post last week I’d give you an update of a few new favourites.
So I have a bare minerals setting powder which I’ve been using to set my make-up with for some time, but after hearing so much about the new setting sprays available I wanted to give them a try. After talking to a make-up artist at Sephora I was told that they’re all pretty much the same, so I chose the Urban Decay spray (cheapest by only by a couple of dollars – they’re all about the same price) to try out. What I love about this product is how quick to use it is. A few pumps and your set – literally. The powders are great but I’m always worried about putting too much on my brush, or too little, and it just takes more time to apply. This is a quick, easy (and if you have a toddler your always picking up like me) very necessary part of your routine. Love this new spray.
After seeing my mother-in-law with this product I was intrigued. Mascara is probably my number one favourite make-up product, and I’m always interested in anything new on the market, especially something with a good review. The primer boasts to prime, plump and lengthen lashes, as well as to condition. It also says that it promotes lash growth, strength, and vitality. What I found: I didn’t find it really plumped or lengthened my lashes instantly, but what I did find was that it worked great in prepping my lashes for my mascara. If you find your mascara tends to leave your lashes clumpy, this primer will most probably solve that problem. It prepares and separates your lashes, and anything that boasts long term growth, strength and vitality… Well, I’m in.
Well, you probably know by now I’m a fan of Clinique’s Chubby Sticks for their ease of use, colour options and longevity. Pudgy Peony is one of my new favourite colours, perfect for summer. Also, I just noticed, one of Allure’s 2015 award winner, I’m not surprised, love this colour!
So there you have it, a little make-up update. Hope you enjoy these new products!
