I’m a huge fan of owning pieces that I’ll get a lot of wear out of (although I have been guilty of the opposite a few times too). I like this outfit because it really represents my Winter look this year, and each piece (or similar pieces) have been worn over and over. What I love about each item I’m wearing is that they can all be worn separately with almost anything. Take for example this jumper (… or sweater); I have worn and re-worn this piece with almost every pair of jeans in my wardrobe, and would wear it with skirts too (if I was more of a skirt person).
The hat – I love to wear a hat (as you know), and this hat is probably the most versatile one I own due to it’s style and colour. It’s also just really great quality too.
The ankle boots – their neutral colour means that they can be worn with almost everything. I like wearing this colour boot also because it gives the impression of a longer leg. This is because at a glance your eye doesn’t focus on the boot (being neutral) which could otherwise visually cut off your leg (if that makes sense?) which, if you have short legs like me, is important! The boots are one of my most favourite items, as you may have noticed by how much I’ve worn them in previous posts. Sometimes I try to mix up my shoe game a little, but I almost always seem to go back to a neutral shoe- they just work. I love this pair I’m wearing because the open heel makes them a nice transitioning piece from Winter to Spring.
The jeans… classic skinny ripped denim. As I’m sure you’ve seen, I have worn them with any number of tops, jumpers, jackets and coats. They’re a basic staple for anyone’s wardrobe.
And finally, the bag, a classic Mulberry (luckily gifted to me due to the $$!), but probably the most blogged bag I own. Enough said.
So there you have it, my classic (most worn) Winter look this year. I can’t recommend investing in staple pieces like these enough. Especially if you’re like me and want to get your money’s worth out of the clothing that you own.
