I’ve been living in the States for five years now and I love it. That said, it definitely has some disadvantages, the biggest being that I’m away from my family. As I mentioned in a previous post, my mum came to visit this month, and not having seen Grace for just under a year it was heart warming to see them reunited. The great thing about this visit is that my sister was able to come too, and, although she’s not able to stay as long as mum, it’s been really lovely to all be together over the past week. Last week we decided to take a trip up to Vermont for some winter weather fun. Although we’d only planned to stay a few days, in light of the storm unleashed on Boston and the Cape this week, we decided to stay a bit longer in the hope we’d miss the brunt of Juno. We spent our time visiting the local town of Woodstock and enjoying all of its little charms, as well as taking advantage of Vermont’s frozen tundra and some snowy outdoor activities. Sarah tried skiing for the first time, which she did so well at!… And Gracie tried sledding for the first time, although she much preferred dragging her baby around in it! And… I managed to capture a few fun photos along the way – little moments I’m sure we’ll treasure when we’re countries apart.
