The weather in many parts of the world may be pretty warm and ‘spring-like’ by now, but New England remains unsure whether it wants to embrace spring full time just yet. Yes, daffodils and crocuses are spreading their joy in our front garden, and a couple of days ago some parts of the state were lucky enough to reach temps in the 70s (Fahrenheit that is)… but this morning I woke up at 4am to a crying baby… and snow. Climate change must not be a myth. Nevertheless, earlier last week on one of the warmer days, we took ourselves to the Sandwich boardwalk for a nice stroll and some fresh sea air. Grace, as is the norm, quietly meditated on her new surroundings, furrowed brow as usual, not because she is unhappy, just because she is taking it all in.
The Sandwich boardwalk, by the way, is a wooden walkway stretching across salt marshes, leading to the beach. It’s a beautiful scenic stroll with stunning views of the ocean once you reach the end (have I sold it to you yet?!). I used to walk there regularly while I was pregnant, and it was nice to return with Grace (not that this was her first time). Anyhow, we didn’t stay too long but it was a lovely reason to get out of the house and as I say, get some fresh air. Pics below…
