I woke up this Sunday morning to the soft patter of rain on the window, and all I wanted to do was curl up and sleep some more. For me, there’s something comforting and reassuring about the sound of rain on a window pane, maybe because it reminds me so much of England. Luckily ,Eric, my husband, often gets up with Grace on the weekends as I’m still feeding her through the night (I know, I shouldn’t, It’s just a habit that we haven’t kicked yet). But I was able to have the loveliest of lie-ins, which are not so commonplace any more. When I woke up, I saw that all the snow had disappeared and the birds were singing the prettiest of songs, maybe a sign of spring.
The photographs for this post were taken before the rain, and everything looked just a little bit more wintery. the jacket that I’m wearing is a recent favourite. I picked it up in the Forever 21 sale, and although I won’t be able to wear it much longer this season, I’m so glad I made the purchase, its the perfect bomber that I was looking for for the longest time. Plus, it was on sale, even better. I paired it with my North Face boots again, love them, and some red lipstick (post on lipstick to follow).
